The Plunger Predicament

SCENE 1

Sticky Fun in the Living Room

Sunny living room cluttered with snacks, couch pillows, and a bright blue plunger in hand — Mia gleefully presses the plunger onto a mirror while Sami and Val watch, giggling and making exaggerated faces in the glass; bursts of daylight stream in from behind them.

SCENE 2

Unexpected Target

Living room, messy coffee table in foreground, Val aiming the plunger at Sami’s belly — Sami gasps with wide eyes as Val jokingly slaps the plunger onto Sami’s stomach; Sami’s shirt bunches, and both friends double over, barely suppressing laughter.

SCENE 3

The Plunger Won’t Budge

Close-up on Sami and Mia tugging anxiously at the plunger stuck to Sami’s belly — Mia braces herself, gripping the plunger handle as Sami squints and clenches her fists; Val films on her phone, all faces caught between laughter and panic under harsh afternoon light.

SCENE 4

Landlord at the Door

Apartment hallway, Mrs. Bronson frowning at their door beneath a flickering overhead bulb — Mrs. Bronson stands ramrod-straight with a set of keys and a notepad, peering at the sounds inside; her posture rigid, lips pursed in suspicion.

SCENE 5

Tug-of-War Finale

Living room; Sami flat on the floor, Mia pulling at the plunger, Val bracing Sami’s feet — All three strain as the plunger stretches Sami’s shirt comically; at that moment, the doorknob rattles; chaos and panic mix as sunlight slants across the frantic group.
