The Light Between Windows

SCENE 1

Midnight Melodies

Elena’s apartment at night, dim light, window open to the courtyard — A woman in her late 20s plays violin softly by her window, eyes fixed longingly across the courtyard where a faintly lit window mirrors her own.

SCENE 2

Silent Messages

Darian’s apartment, day, sunlight casting shadows on the wall — A man in his early 30s writes a note, holding it against his window toward Elena’s side, hesitant blue eyes checking if she is watching.

SCENE 3

Guidance with Tea

Mrs. Novik’s cozy living room, afternoon light filtering through lace curtains — An older woman sits pouring tea for a nervous Elena, her hands gesturing encouragingly as she offers advice, a gentle warmth in her eyes.

SCENE 4

Barrier Revealed

Building corridor, twilight, cool blue light through frosted glass doors — Elena tries to open the locked door separating her hallway from Darian’s, Jonas stands beside her, a look of regret on his face as he reveals a key clutched in his hand.

SCENE 5

The Twist: Another Side

Darian’s darkened apartment, moonlit, facing his window which now reflects only himself — Darian stands alone, touching the cold glass, his expression mournful as he looks into the courtyard, revealing a faded photo of Elena in his journal—marked ‘In Memoriam’.
