Steps Into Shadows

SCENE 1

Eyes in the Stairwell

Dimly lit, narrow apartment stairwell at dusk. — A woman in her late 20s (Lena) climbs creaking stairs, pausing mid-step, glancing uneasily behind her at the empty gloom below.

SCENE 2

Predator’s Patience

Landing below, shrouded in eerie shadow. — A tall, blurred man (The Watcher) stands halfway hidden, eyes fixed upward, one hand hovering over the rail, his lips curved in a predatory smile.

SCENE 3

The Surgeon's Touch

Mid-staircase, fluorescent light flickering overhead. — The Watcher’s pale hand closes precisely at the base of Lena's neck; she flinches, eyes wide, her face caught between panic and disbelief.

SCENE 4

Haunted Offer

Faded, spectral hallway, walls peeling, air shimmering. — Mrs. Orlaine appears beside Lena, slightly ghostly, placing a gentle hand on Lena’s shoulder, her eyes locked urgently on Lena’s face.

SCENE 5

Echoes from Below

Stairwell entrance, seen from above as railing spirals down. — A man in a blue windbreaker (Theo) looks up anxiously from the building’s entryway, clutching a phone, light casting dramatic shadows upward.

SCENE 6

Promises in Darkness

Staircase shrouded in total darkness except for Lena’s terrified face and The Watcher’s smile looming close behind her. — Lena’s features are strained with raw fear, while the Watcher’s blurred visage exudes twisted delight, their faces inches apart, no escape visible.

SCENE 7

Resolve at the Edge

Top landing, pale sunlight just visible through grimy glass. — Lena grips the rail, jaw set, sweat on her brow, turning to face the gloom below, eyes blazing with new-found determination.
