Shadows at Sycamore High

SCENE 1

Empty Desk

Sycamore High classroom, late afternoon — Desks sit in afternoon light; Maya glances anxiously at Chloe’s empty seat, her notebook open with Chloe’s name doodled.

SCENE 2

Hallway Interrogation

School hallway, flickering fluorescent lights — Cameron leans coolly against lockers as Maya confronts him, her face tense and accusing; other students pass by, watching.

SCENE 3

Guidance and Warnings

Guidance counselor's cozy office — Ms. Sable sits across from Maya, hands gently clasped on her desk; Maya’s eyes plead for answers in the warm lamp light.

SCENE 4

A New Clue

Empty parking lot at dusk — Jared, crouched by a streetlamp, nervously hands Maya a folded note while shadows stretch across the pavement.

SCENE 5

Secrets Under the Bleachers

Under the football field bleachers, nighttime — Cameron stands alone in the dark, glancing over his shoulder; the torn hem of a familiar scarf peeks from his backpack.

SCENE 6

Resolve in the Rain

School courtyard, night rain falling — Maya stands, rain-soaked and defiant, in the glow of a streetlight, clutching the note with tears and resolve mixing on her cheeks.
