In the Presence of Reven

SCENE 1

Shadow in the Hospital

A dim, deserted hospital corridor lined with flickering overhead lights. — Mara stands by a darkened doorway, her shoulders hunched, as the silent figure of Reven appears barely visible in the background corner, his mask turned toward her.

SCENE 2

Unseen in the Bedroom

Jamie’s cluttered bedroom, half-lit from a phone screen as he sits on his bed, tense. — Reven stands utterly still in the deepest patch of shadow behind Jamie, his hollow eyes fixed forward, while Jamie hugs his pillow tightly, oblivious.

SCENE 3

Confession of the Void

A small church office cluttered with books and tired old icons, candlelight flickering. — Father Callen sits across from Mara, his gaze haunted, clutching his crucifix; the shadow of Reven subtly coils up the wall behind them.

SCENE 4

Silent Feast

A tight, narrow apartment hallway dipped in darkness, Jamie standing at the far end near a weak lamp. — Reven stands inches from Jamie, mask looming, as the light around Jamie’s face grows sickly and dim, his expression draining to numb terror.

SCENE 5

Descent into Dread

The Welds' living room, Mara crouched next to Jamie, rain battering the windows, both faces drawn in fear. — Mara grips Jamie’s hand as the lights flicker and Reven’s shadow fills an entire wall behind them, swelling and stretching, mask barely visible.
