Eyeshine: The Darkness Watches

SCENE 1

The Dark Encounter

Dense pine forest, night, shadows cast by headlamps. — Roy stands wide-eyed, spinning toward the blurred retreat of something enormous crashing through undergrowth. Moonbeams pierce the canopy, highlighting his alarmed expression.

SCENE 2

Evidence in the Shadows

Roy's camp, tent lit by red flashlight, camera in his shaking hands. — Roy and Jena huddle over a small LCD screen, the camera showing a freeze-frame: in the corner, a massive, inhuman eye reflects the flash. Jen peeks nervously from behind.

SCENE 3

Cutter’s Trap

Forest clearing, early dawn mist, metallic cages and bait scattered. — Cutter kneels beside a hulking trap, setting it with bloody bait. His face is tense and predatory, while faint growls echo from deeper woods.

SCENE 4

Night Standoff

Camp perimeter, Roy pressed against a tree, eyes wide, Jen sheltering inside tent. — Roy, breathing fast, signals with a finger to his lips; in the black forests beyond, glowing eyes hover at chest height, barely visible in the gloom.

SCENE 5

Dawn’s Edge

Forest path, sunrise spilling between the trunks, mist curling low. — Roy, exhausted but steely, leads the way with camera in hand, Jena following. In the distance, Cutter peers through binoculars, still hunting. An enormous, unexplained footprint lies in the mud ahead.
