Echoes in the Glass

SCENE 1

Shattered Arrival

Rain-soaked street outside a foggy glass shop, midnight — Detective Rowan stands beneath a flickering lamplight, water streaming off his overcoat, reflected in a cracked window showing his double image.

SCENE 2

The Mark Remains

Dimly lit interrogation room, single buzzing overhead lamp — Officer Tran slides a photo across to Rowan, who sits hunched, shadows pooling under his eyes; both faces tense and drawn.

SCENE 3

Between Reality and Memory

Madame Celeste’s candlelit parlor, walls lined with antique mirrors — Madame Celeste reaches out with one wrinkled hand to steady Rowan, distorted reflections swirling in every mirror around them.

SCENE 4

Shadow Chess

Luxurious study, evening sun casting long bars of light through blinds — Dr. Lysander sits at a chessboard, expression calm and calculating, moving a black queen as smoke from his cigarette coils upward.

SCENE 5

Fracture

Deserted glassworks factory, beams of moonlight slicing through broken windows — Rowan stands amid shards of colored glass on the concrete floor, gripping his pocketwatch, his reflection splintered in hundreds of fragments.
